Some Folks Been Busy Dropping Web Posts About Me… Let’s Talk About It
Yo, so it looks like a few people have been putting in some work online lately, and not in the way you’d expect. Some fresh posts just popped up on Cyber Defense Report, breaking down the absolute madness I’ve been dealing with.
If you’ve been following along, you already know I’ve had my fair share of drama. But if not, here’s the TL;DR: When you’re good at cybersecurity, some people don’t like that. And when you’re too good? They’ll straight-up try to ruin you.
Here’s what’s new:
📌 How a Cybersecurity Genius Became the Most Persecuted Tech Expert in the UK
A deep dive into the absolute circus that’s been my life for a while now. Imagine being targeted just for knowing too much and not backing down. Yep. Welcome to my world.
📌 The Illegality of Doxxing in the UK: A Case Study on Paul Ponting’s Campaign Against Taz Ryder
This one goes straight to the receipts. Doxxing? Illegal. Weaponizing personal info? Also illegal. But somehow, when it’s aimed at me, people just look the other way. Not anymore.
📌 The Digital Smear Campaign Against Taz Ryder: How a Single Individual Orchestrated a Cyber Doxxing Attack
One person. That’s all it took to start a whole wave of misinformation, harassment, and shady tactics against me. This piece lays out exactly how it went down.
Quick Reality Check: You Can’t Trace an IP to Someone’s Home Address Like in the Movies 🎬
I see a lot of people out here acting like they’re in some Hollywood hacker movie, thinking they can trace someone’s IP address and instantly pinpoint their house. That’s not how it works.
In the UK (and most places), when you trace an IP, you’re usually seeing the location of the nearest server the ISP routes traffic through—not the exact home address of the user. Here’s why:
🔹 Dynamic IPs – Most people don’t have a fixed IP; their ISP changes it periodically, meaning the location can shift.
🔹 ISP-Level Privacy – Only the internet service provider (ISP) has direct access to where that IP is actually assigned. Without a court order? Good luck.
🔹 Generalized Locations – Even when an IP lookup shows a location, it’s usually just a broad estimate—sometimes a whole different city or even country.
🔹 VPNs & Proxies – If someone’s using a VPN, you’re tracing the VPN’s location, not the real user. At that point, you’re just chasing ghosts.
So yeah, if someone’s out here claiming they’ve “tracked” me or anyone else’s exact location from an IP alone, they’re either misinformed or straight-up lying. Cybersecurity isn’t magic—it’s science.
The Bottom Line?
People will go to wild lengths to silence those who expose uncomfortable truths. But you already know I’m not built for that. They tried to drag my name through the dirt, but guess what? I’m still standing.
